Serena and Desiree'

I haven't posted in this blog for over a month! And I was doing so well, too. To be honest, I haven't made many little animals this past month. I haven't had the chance to actually sit down and think about what little tinies I have wanted to see come to life. I have mostly been making ballet styled dresses for Blythe dolls. I have a sale going on in my Etsy shop, trying to get things out and start fresh, and it reminded me that I needed some new tinies. Which got me thinking the opposite - elephants! Mine are tiny, but still.

These 2 are Serena (in pink) and Desiree' her sister. When I was 10, I had a friend called Serena. She had a sister Desiree'. I always loved those names. I wished I had been given a name like that! These 2 elephant girls are a lovely nut brown mohair. I gave them both stripes, one in pastels, one in tea-stained reds. I wanted them to be the same, yet different.

Desiree' is the bolder sister. She is a little more dramatic perhaps. Red suits her.

Serena is a bit sweeter. She looks good in pink and pale green. Her ears and limbs are a much more vibrant green and yellow plaid, but she prefers clothing on the pastel side.

It's been awhile since I have scouted out new furniture for my tinies and their room box. I am not sure at the moment what else I need. I think I would like some circus themed things, but not sure where I would find that. Anyone know of dollhouse circus themed things?

It is colder than I can convey here in Vermont this month and last. I have not known a February this frigid. Temperatures have been below zero more often than not. I can hardly wait until spring! Maybe the circus will come to town. I would love that right about now. Have a lovely weekend and stay warm!
